Year 3 recreate Stonehenge!

As part of our topic on the Stone Age, year 3 have become archaeologists! We have been looking at artefacts and discussing what they could have been made from and what they could have been used for. We have also started to learn our talking text, 'The Stone Age Boy', ready to innovate it and create our own Stone Age stories next week.

As part of their Easter holiday home learning, the children were challenged to go and visit Stone Age places around Dorset. In class, we have been reseaching Stonehenge and discussing what it was built from, how it got there and what it might have been used for. In teams, we tried to recreate Stonehenge using a variety of materials around the classroom. I think they were pretty successful!
